Gratefulness / Thankfulness

The world is full of opportunities and we are choice makers. We have to and can choose the angel to look at every event and take it as a learning experience.

Gratitude greatly improves every aspect of your life. Learning more gratitude, being more thankful, is not only the way to more happiness and satisfaction. Becoming more grateful is the perfect antidote to frustration, envy, and anger.

Gratitude is what we long for the most: recognition and appreciation for what we have achieved, a simple “thank you” for a good, generous deed. Writers, philosophers and grandparents regularly remind and advice us, rightly to be so and feel that way.

Being thankful is an essential key to a happy and fulfilling life but as well for success.

Gratitude is more than saying “thank you” because someone has done you a favor. Being grateful is an attitude. And a way of living.

It has been proven that enjoying the little things in life leads to more happiness. If you establish a grateful attitude in your life, you give yourself time to pause, for mental rest and reflection. Gratitude is then like taking a deep breath: we look at our life and recognize our real absolute fortune and its true worth.

For what you can be (more) thankful ...

  • The grace of being born in a free and peaceful land
  • Having enough to eat and drink
  • Your own health or the health of your children
  • Your partner, a stable relationship and friends
  • A cozy home. and your possessions (apartment, car, clothes, ...).
  • A smile of others, the warm of the sun on your skin, the birds' twittering in the morning

Why gratitude is so important

  • Gratitude helps against depression. Being grateful has enormous influence in the therapy or preventing  of depression and anxiety disorders.
  • Gratitude reduces stress and make you more resilient to stress. Studies by the University of Pennsylvania proved that participants of a study were able to reduce the stress - they felt and showed themselves to be more resistant to mental illness.
  • Gratitude strengthens the heart and helps against insomnia.
  • And finally gratitude makes you happy as mentioned above and improves relationships in every part of your life privately and your professional, working life..

For myself - Gratitude is simply a sense of awareness - where I can see the positive but also negative side of any aspect and not how I have to deal with it but much more how I want to deal with it.

I am pretty sure - that if you practice gratitude, you actually detox or at least you reduce negative vibes from your life and enthusiastic to see what’s coming next. Enjoy life - Enjoy YOUR life!
