„Buchenleben“ von Peter Wohlleben – Eine Einladung zur inneren Ruhe durch die Natur

Image

Form Follows Function ... Connected in a Spiritual Unity and Wholeness - with Power and Responsibility

Image
I worked as an architect, as a designer, and currently call myself a User Experience Designer. I worked as a paramedic for the Red Cross and the military. I played a lot of team sports and was very successful with my sled dog team. What was and is a constant in my life - what ever I did and do it was and is regarding individuals. In design, the technical feasibility, economic viability, and the design itself are always decisive in whether an innovative, digital product will be successful. Therefore, it is even more important to put the user, the human being, at the center from the beginning to the end of the development.  Whenever I talk about my work, I think about people, about individuals. In essence, design means shaping, and it's a collective process involving many people. The outcome is influenced by various factors such as goals, intentions, values, beliefs, processes, organizational structures, politics, environment, social or technology. In short, design means to me: putti...

Suicide prevention- Don't Give Up

Image
In this article I will focus and deal with suicides triggered by depression or other psychiatric propensities. And I like to start off with a quote by  Barack Obama: “ To anyone out there who’s hurting — it’s not a sign of weakness to ask for help. It’s a sign of strength. ” Many people get depressed at one point or another throughout life. Whether it’s caused by death of a family member, environmental stress, or mental illness, feelings of depression can become difficult for many people. Unfortunately some people get so depressed as a result of their mental illness or life circumstances, that they consider suicide as an option to escape from their emotional pain. I had a number of challenging moments, experience and time of life I was and I am  able to live well without them 😊 on the other hand - after all these high and low tides in my life I learned or became to the conclusion that  the only cure for a bad day is to make a cup of coffee or tea, having a good piece of...

Uplifting Songs - On Blue Monday

Image
Blue Monday rolls around every year on the third Monday in January. The meaning of this day is filled with controversy because it is supposedly the saddest day of the year. Many of us find ourselves in subzero weather this time of year, which day might be better to share a few uplifting songs? As I already shared before, I am a firm believer that music and dancing affects our brain, mood and emotions.  Music is known to tap into various parts of the brain, that is why it is utilized by many experts in treating depressed or anxious patients. Johnny Cash once said ‘They're powerful, those songs. At times they've been my only way back, the only door out of the dark, bad places the black dog calls home.’ Here is a link to a video which explains the ' Black Dog ' and now the uplifting songs I like to share with you. Phil Collins - It's Alright Peter Gabriel - Don't Give Up Talk Talk - Life's What You Make It Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax Pearl Jam - A...

Songs about Hope, Faith and Courage

Image
I already shared in my articles that I and others can find power in many things - and one of these things is music and if you like dancing . No matter who you are / who we are - I guess nobody told anybody that life is easy.  It finally it should be fun, exciting, and interesting, but lever the less it will have a lot of hard times and most of the times will be challenging. Sadly, or to be honest it is good that life does not come with an instructions’ manual - and I guess none of us has a superpower - which will help us in all the difficult moments. but we should keep hope, faith and courage. Together with faith, hope shows us where we should be and how we can get there. The hope and the wishing something might and would happen - Faith and believing that something will happen - and our courage let it happen. Check out these songs to get some tunes and lyrics with amazing power of hope and faith.  Learn how to cultivate hope and faith in our own life. Bon Jovi - “Keep the Fait...
