How every Child can Thrive by Five - Early Childhood Development - TED talk
She stressed and focused attention on the nature of learning, the 'qualities' of play for life. it's so brilliant how she brings the undeniable facts and benefits to light and named it crystal clear. I really love how she highlighted the benefits of play on lifelong learning, behavior and well-being, sharing effective strategies to help all kids thrive by the age of five.
When Molly Wright gave that talk in 2021, she was just seven years old. But that didn't stop her from talking, from speaking open and honestly, touching the people and reaching their / our minds and hearts.
Let us ensure or do our parts to ensure that all kids have the best start to life.
Every moment together is an opportunity to talk, laugh and play. For children and for all of us 🧡.

By the way - Molly Wright is as well a young Australian animal activist who runs Molly's Wildlife Warriors with her parents.
Even this girl can phrase it better when I - I like to summarize it by a few bullet points (for the adults who forget to play and see the world with an open heart and mind - and need 'their' slides, and summeries 😉)
Why play is important for life, enjoying life
Play improves the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and young people. Through play, children or better everyone learn about the world and themselves, skills we need for study, work and relationships - as well about fail and errors and the power of loving your mistakes
Skills such as:
- coping with challenging situations, throwbacks, or even grief
- confidence
- curiosity (is one of my favorite benefits)
- independence
- interaction
- resilience
- self-esteem
- social skills
And even I was a competitive sportsman, I sports was always a kind of play for myself - sports and any play or most plays and games ...
Developing physical health
- agility
- balance
- co-ordination
- physical fitness
- stamina
Developing social skills
- explore their feelings
