Emergency Services Day – 9th September

It is a day to show gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and bravery of the police, fire and rescue services, ambulance services, and other emergency responders.

From my point of view it is an event, day and moment that holds immense importance for society and living together. It is a day dedicated to honoring the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of the emergency services personnel who risk their lives daily to ensure the safety and well-being of the public. In addition to the professional responsibilities of being a Paramedic and Mental Health First Aider or Counselor, the job also provides personal satisfaction for both myself and my colleagues by assisting others. As helpers, we consistently aid people in challenging circumstances and frequently positively impact their lives.
This allows us to contribute to bringing more humanity to the world, or at least to the world in our surroundings, the world around us.
