Meditation at time of death / Consciousness at the Time of Death

Image
For many people meditation is still part of esoteric or a esoterical life. But brain research sees it very differently today - and why not give it a try. Meditation can have a very quick, very beneficial effect right from the start. Even beginners and skeptics will find it beneficial - if they start such a meditation practice with a curious attitude and let go of too many expectations - I am sure they will find easily access to meditation if they do not close their minds. By the way a good meditation technique to quickly find yourself, and which is also great and works very easily even for newcomers, is the body scan. We feel our whole body - from head to toe - and just perceive. Once you did something like that you can go and try other forms of meditation. And make a daily or regularly practice. Meditation and grieving - Meditation at time of death Since hat I found for myself is a way of meditation called 'Phowa'  is a techniques include breathing and meditation that can then...

Kraft der Resilienz und Mentalen Gesundheit: Eine Motivation zum Welt-Meditations-Tag

Image
Geburtstag feiert, bringt es auf den Punkt: "When you’re a kid, you lay in the grass and watch the clouds going over, and you don’t have a thought in your mind. It’s purely meditation, and we lose that." Als Ki...

Mental training, Visualization, Meditation

Image
Meditation, mental training and visualization is a powerful tool that can improve our ability to learn and perform anything, from music to mathematics to sports. Before and after the NFC Championship Game 2023 these two photos had been made. I am pretty sure that Deebo Samuel and  George Kittle both did any kind of meditation or visualization.  You're likely familiar with the phrase, "Seeing is believing." This phrase encapsulates the principle behind a useful mental exercise known as visualization, employed not only by daydreamers but top athletes such as Muhammed Ali, Michael Phelps, Katie Ledecky, and successful celebrities and entrepreneurs. You too can harness the power of visualization to achieve your objectives. So, what is it? In essence, visualization involves forming mental pictures of your desires. Envisioning yourself in various situations as a form of rehearsal, it entails shutting your eyes and not only "visualizing" achievement of your ambitions b...

World Meditation Day 2024 - May 21st

Image
When the world around you is ensconced in madness, and you can’t quite seem to find a moment of peace in the storm of the day, it’s time to step back and remember those blissful moments as a child where we merely lost ourselves in the world. World Meditation Day is a call to the world to take time to participate in this millennia-old practice and clear our minds, remembering that we are people and humans first, and in a certain role or workers second. When I start to feel overwhelmed in life, at work, ... with too much challenges, too much going on and around, just to much to take in and too little time to process it all, I rely on mindfulness. It’s all about tuning to yourself, into your sense of inner calm so you can be a better conduit for new insights and solutions. My Simple Meditation Practice Sit comfortably in a place that feels stable and easy. Notice what your legs are doing and check how your legs are placed. Cross your legs if you're on a cushion. And if you're sit...

L (i) e b e d a s L e b e n - Das Leben l(i)eben - ... und Effekte des Glück

Image
Was ist Glück? Was ist Glück?

Serenity and Patience

Image
“Patience you must have, my young Padawan,” says Yoda once to Luke Skywalker. Patience is a virtue that we often lack today. We seem to be constantly pressed, pushed for time - scampered and rushed - and when we have to wait, it drives us crazy.   But that doesn't help - it never helped, and it will not help. On the contrary, when we feel stress, we only harm ourselves.  Following you will find a few tips on how you can learn to become more patient, persistent and relaxed. Serenity and Patience With more serenity and patience, you can go through life much happier. You can deal with stress better, which can even save you from burnout in the long run and make you a happier person. What you should know: The decision whether you continue to rush through the day stressed out and being in a rage and you hit the ceiling at every opportunity is something you alone can do and you allow or not. Wouldn't you rather convert this negative energy into something positive? Serenity ...

Take care of your own needs and your power balance - Self-care is important for everyone!

Image
Nowadays we all forced - not only by the pandemic. The everyday life, each business is subject to a constantly, permanently faster, changing world. and we all often have more than one role - at home, in business, spare time ... even as I am no father or mother - and even this article will be of help for everyone - this time I like to emphasize mothers and care-givers (I took care on my wife for 11 years 24/7 ) - especially mothers and care-givers are needing short breaks for self-care even more - mothers take care on so much up from the first blink of the baby's eye. Mothers and care-givers are often under constant stress almost around the clock.  No matter what your job is - self-care is very important. So that you can do your job, so that you can be there for your family AND be there for yourself. We all know that we cannot take care of others or do our best if we don't take care of ourselves as well. Take care of your own needs and your power balance and listen to your...

Transforming - Positive Attitude

Image
Griefing demands critical thinking from the griefer and urges changes, rethinking, improvements in living conditions, mindset, and feelings.  The death of my wife is the most impacting loss I had to experience in my life so far. My grief is like two sides of the same coin. One is where I ‘pretend’ that everything is alright, and the other is where my heart screams in pain. But I can be happy it was her will.  And as I always understood changes in life always as a chance for something new - I'm working on me to see that this loss is nothing but transformation. I am for sure angry with the course of life - or karma - but complaining or being angry do not and will not help, neither me nor someone else, for a number of reasons - but for sure because as 'karma' does not care about anything. And mentioning once again ( coping with grief ) the quote from Goethe and Herman Hesse: "In all beginnings dwells a magic force - For guarding us and helping us to live." - It'...

Einsamkeit und Isolation: Wege zu mehr Verbindung und Lebensfreude

Image
Ältere Men...

„Buchenleben“ von Peter Wohlleben – Eine Einladung zur inneren Ruhe durch die Natur

Image

Autumn and Winter Blues - Mental health

Image
When the days are getting shorter - it is normal and extremely common to feel a kind of autumn or winter blues - many people feel sluggish and down during these months. With decreased sunlight and shorter days during the winter, our vitamin D, serotonin, and melatonin levels can become low, which exacerbates depression and other changes of their mood. When the weather is cold, people tend to stay indoors and become socially isolated especially or even more during the still ongoing time of Covid. They may also get less exercise, which can cause weight gain, lethargy, and lower mood. What can you do to beat the blues when the short, dark days are getting you down? A few hints I like to share ...  1. Practice gratitude and awareness Our thoughts precede our emotions and behaviors, so keep your thinking positive. Did you ever thought about autumn and its beauty? Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go. Autumn can be seen as a second spring - when every leaf is a ...

Besinnlichkeit

Image

Loneliness and Isolation: Paths to Greater Connection and Joy in Life

Image
The Christmas season is associated with joy, family, and closeness for many of us. The Christmas can be a particularly difficult time of loneliness and isolation for others. The Christmas season, the glow of the lights and people coming together can make the absence even more painful. It is important to know that it is okay to feel lonely sometimes. It's important to realize that you are not alone having this feeling - there are always ways to reconnect with others - through a simple conversation, a small gesture, or even a digital connection. Loneliness and isolation affect people differently depending on age, gender, and cultural background: Age Groups: Young people (16-30 years old) often experience loneliness due to the transition into their careers or the lack of deep relationships. Adults (30-60 years old) are often isolated due to work and family commitments. Older people (60+) are particularly vulnerable to isolation due to losses, physical limitations, and fewer social con...
